I admire the spirit of the South Dakota legislature. Unfortunately, I doubt that the Supreme Court is prepared to overturn Roe v. Wade, even with the new justices, at this juncture.

Our society would win a more significant victory at this juncture if SCOTUS upheld the constitutionality of the Partial-birth Abortion Ban.

I'm optimistic that Roberts and Alito will help SCOTUS put its Judiciarist ways in its wake. I'm just not convinced they can do so this quickly.

I pray that I'm wrong.
