Fools just won't keep their mouths shut about Darfur!

The National Association of Evangelicals wants action:

One year has passed since US President George Bush declared that the violence in Sudan's Darfur region was tantamount to genocide. But little progress has been made in easing the humanitarian crisis, according to a spokesman for the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE).

"It is time to move the Darfur genocide from a talking point to an action item," said Richard Cizik, vice president for goverment affairs at the NAE. "President Bush must put this issue on the top of his In box."

Since February 2003, government-sponsored militias known as the Janjaweed have conducted a calculated campaign of slaughter, rape, starvation, and displacement in Darfur, the NAE reported. It is estimated that 400,000 people have died due to violence, starvation, and disease.
