Blogs4God on Christian Bloggers Response the the SCOTUS Mess

reactions run the gamut.

Such as:
Here is a list of what some Christian who blog are saying about the nomination of Harriet Miers to the U.S. Supreme Court:
Harriet Miers

* The nomination of Harriet Miers is clearly arousing a storm of discussion throughout both the MSM and the blogosphere. A handful of conservatives are pleased, but many are uneasy (at best) to demoralized (at worst). Given Miers complete lack of judiciary experience (although Renqhuist similarly had none) combined with an apparent lack of criteria for immediate evaluation of her understanding of the Constitution seems to render any appraisal of the nomination to President Bush's trustworthiness. Let's be honest ... - TRUSTING BUSH

* The selection of Ms. Miers has been initially widely criticized -- by the conservative bloc of the Republican Party. Her age (60), the fact that she has never married, she has never been a judge, and lacks a paper trail, raises some Republican eyebrows. Plus, her contributions to Al Gore's presidential campaign in 1988 and Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid's (D-NV) recommendation to the White House that they consider Miers for the Supreme Court post leaves many in the right wing camp to wonder if she is truly a conservative. - Harriet Miers: Originalist

# It seems as if the foaming at the mouth elements in Bush's base have all come out as a result of the Harriet Miers nomination for Sandra Day O'Connor's spot on the Supreme Court. Bush has betrayed his base. He's nominated another Souter. He's broken his promise to nominate someone in the mold of Scalia and Thomas. We've waited ten years for this opportunity, and he's flubbed it. It goes on and on. What gets me the most about this moronic behavior is that we know next to nothing about her, and no one is presenting any evidence to back this nonsense up. It's as if not knowing what someone believes amounts to knowing that they believe the opposite of what you would have them believe. Why is the right now imitating Dianne Feinstein, who did exactly that with John Roberts? Not being assured of what a nominee will do is not equivalent to being assured that a nominee will do what you don't want.. - Reaction to Miers Nomination

# The Anchoress made this insightful post while ago: Haven’t you folks figured it out, yet? The man is a chess player. He’s not thinking of one justice nomination - he wasn’t thinking of just one when he nominated Roberts. He’s thinking of possibly five. I’m not one to disagree with The Anchoress, but she has it only partly right. Bush is a poker player, not a chess player. Yep, a poker player — in real life and in political life.... - The Anchoress on Harriet Miers

# From Bench Memos: According to Kyleen Wright at Texans for Life, Harriet Miers gave $150 to the organization — then known as Texans United for Life — in 1989. Miers was a bronze patron for their annual dinner in which Henry Hyde was the keynote speaker. She was listed in the program as a bronze sponsor. One donation 16 years ago isn't the greatest but it's something, right? Marvin Olasky has also been posting some promising information at World's blog. - Good News?
