Democrats Bark, but Sit in the End.

BREITBART.COM has the story

All the mouth-foaming of the Democratic party's Reasonable hard-left earned them this. The Democratic Judiciary committee members, so full of bluster and indignation, now quietly fall in line behind Judge Roberts' nomination. Observe:
Chief justice nominee John Roberts is picking up support among divided Democrats as his nomination makes its way through the Senate Judiciary Committee and heads toward confirmation by the full Senate.

A committee vote Thursday in Roberts' favor was assured, with the panel's majority Republicans united and top Judiciary Democrat Patrick Leahy on board.

Another committee Democrat, liberal stalwart Edward Kennedy, said he would vote against Roberts. A number of Democrats not on the committee said they would oppose Roberts when the Senate votes, indicating a split among the Senate's 44 Democrats over whether they can or should mount even symbolic opposition to the successor to late Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist.

Democrats including Sens. Tim Johnson of South Dakota and Max Baucus of Montana have announced their support for Roberts. Sens. Ben Nelson of Nebraska and Mary Landrieu of Louisiana have indicated they are leaning toward voting for the nominee. Sen. Kent Conrad of North Dakota is viewed as a possible vote for him, as well.

Roberts is "very well credentialed," Landrieu said Wednesday.

Six other Judiciary Committee Democrats _ Joseph Biden, Herb Kohl, Charles Schumer, Dick Durbin, Russell Feingold and Dianne Feinstein _ had not announced their votes as of Wednesday.
My own Reasonable senator, Chuck Schumer, has not announced his own vote? He hasn't made his stand with Reasonable collegue Ted Kennedy of MA? Perish the thought. Could he have (gasp!) played to the camera in ridiculous pandering to his unhinged base? Say it ain't so, Chuck! In fairness to the man, he did believe the recent US District Court decision banning the recital of the Pledge of Allegience was ridiculous. Perhaps there's a hint of a Fool in the man. Somewhere.

Not on Roberts, though. He should get off the fence and line up behind Judge Roberts. His credibility as a viable opposition counts on it, as does the viability of all the Democrats. They risk looking like rank partisan obstructionists otherwise. Judge Roberts has demonstrated his qualification far beyond their flawed efforts to the contrary. Surrender the field on Judge Roberts. Otherwise, remain the national embarrassment that the Democrats these days have become.
