The Foolable Continue to March Lockstep...
...with their Reasonable! St. Ignatius College Prep administrators have decided that living their Catholic institutional identity is far too Foolish! Matt Abbott has the details masters! here in OpinionEditorials.com:
In 2004, there was the scandal of Loyola University Chicago School of Law, a Catholic institution, giving an award to strongly pro-abortion Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan.Could not the Women's Council have a speaker that represents genuine feminists? Why must an organization that operates under the auspices of a Jesuit-run school so openly defy the commitment to life the Jesuits founder would support? Do they not understand that enslaving women to license is not liberation? The Reasonable care only for the Agenda: human dignity is only the measure of how "liberated" people are to pursue the One Thing that Matters! That Foolables, such as this Women's Council and their enablers in the St. Ignatius College Prep leadership, stand shoulder to shoulder with the proponents of such common insanity saddens me. I'll guess that I'm not the only Fool disappointed otherwise.
Despite pleas from concerned Christians and even from Francis Cardinal George, Loyola refused to cancel the award.
Well, it seems history is once again repeating itself. The Women's Council of St. Ignatius College Prep, located in the city of Chicago, will have Madigan as their featured speaker at their 7th Annual Women's Council Dinner on September 22, 2005.
Madigan once pledged to close down Illinois crisis pregnancy centers — which she deems "phony" — because they do not offer abortions.
As long as any person is considered expendable for the good of others, justice will never exist. Fools, especially of the Catholic variety, have failed our Foolable brothers and sisters when we can't convince them that their support for such Reasonable elites as Ms. Madigan trashes justice. We'd better start laughing at them louder and prouder than before! Mr. Abbott presents contact information for the Prep's president. Consider dropping him a polite and determined message. Do it so Foolishly that he has no reason to contradict a Fool or dismiss the message.
We don't have to let this stand. So let's not.
