Sacred Meme-ing

Jean of Catholic Fire has passed the Holy Week Meme on to me!

As Jean says:
Lent is almost over and this Sunday is Palm Sunday already! I thought it would be fun to share what we do special to commemorate the Passion and Resurrection of Our Lord.
Amen!

So here's one Fool's humble testimony:

1. What do you do with your new blessed palm(s) from Palm Sunday?

We usually hang them on the crucifix over our bed.

2. What do you do with your old one from last year?

What Jean says!

3. What do you do during Holy Week in preparation for Good Friday?

This year, I plan to dive into the Catechism of the Catholic Church, in preparation for the launch! I plan to dedicate more spiritual posts than ususal to the blog this week. Also, I'm making more consistent efforts to sit in silent prayer, simply resting in the presence of the Lord.

The Blushing Bride, Fine young Fool and I may make the liturgical celebrations of the triduum, as well.

4. How do you commemorate Christ's Passion on Good Friday?

We usually attend a Good Friday liturgy at our parish. If we go to Graymoor, as we did last year, we'll make the liturgy up there.

5. When do you color Easter eggs?

This year may be the first. I imagine we'll do it either Thursday afternoon or Saturday afternoon.

6. When do you buy Easter candy?

That, and all matters fiscal and inventory, I leave in the capable hands of our House's CFO, the Beloved Bride! I can't be trusted near Chocolate Easter Bunnies!

7. What is the first thing you plan to do Easter morning?

We'll have a light breakfast, celebrate Easter at morning Mass and then head to the Blushing Bride's sister for a family festa extraordinaire!

And now, to spread the joy:
