Like Son, Like Father

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. CNN.com has the story of 9/11 hijacker Mohamed Atta's father. He praises the London bombers. Observe:
Speaking to CNN producer Ayman Mohyeldin Tuesday in his apartment in the upper-middle-class Cairo suburb of Giza, Mohamed el-Amir said he would like to see more attacks like the July 7 bombings of three London subway trains and a bus that killed 52 people, plus the four bombers.

Displayed prominently in the apartment were pictures of el-Amir's son, Mohamed Atta, the man who is believed to have piloted American Airlines Flight 11 into the north tower of the World Trade Center as part of the attacks on the United States.

El-Amir said the attacks in the United States and the July 7 attacks in London were the beginning of what would be a 50-year religious war, in which there would be many more fighters like his son.
Didn't he once deny that his son was involved? Oh, yes, he did: His father, Mohamed el-Amir Atta, a retired lawyer in Egypt, characterized this accusation in an interview as ridiculous, calling his son gentle and shy. [12] The elder Mr. Atta also claims to have spoken with Mohamed by phone two days after the air crashes of the 11th, and continued to hold in interviews with the German news magazine Bild am Sonntag in late 2002 that his son was alive, in hiding. [13], [14] My, isn't this a change of tune?

Here's another whole in the Reasonable people's profile of the terrorist. Mr. el-Amir lived a comfortable middle class life in Egypt. No raging poverty drove him to extremes. Rather, the venemous idealogy that is islamo-fascism became his motivation to support murder. Genocide alone appeases these islamo-fascists. Death is the only wage they seek. The London bombing, and Mr. el-Amir's approbation of it, are chilling reminders of this. Still, watch for the Reasonable to lull the rest of society back to sleep. It's all Bush's fault. It really is all about American Imperialism. The US really is to blame.

The Truth has a way of shattering these fantasies. That's why Fools just nod their heads at the Reasonable, trying not to laugh.
